Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly upped their interest in Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas today. Real Madrid officials are currently in Qatar discussing the potential release of Carlo Ancelotti from his contract with PSG today and with that in mind the French outfit are starting to up their interest in potential replacements; of which AVB is one. Les Parisiens would have to pay a sizeable compensation fee for the Portuguese to the sum of £10 million.
Zinedine Zidane has again been talking about Gareth Bale. Zizou believes that if Bale wants a move to Real Madrid he should hand in a transfer request at White Hart Lane. Zidane is currently director of football at Real Madrid and has suggested that if the Welshman wants a move he should inform Spurs.
Spurs are set to lead the race for Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy. The 22-year-old Irishman has been linked with several clubs since The Lactics were relegated last season and has a whopping transfer valuation of around £20 million. Spurs want to sign the player but will not spend that much so negotiations would be protracted.
Spurs are ready to heat up their interest in Roma forward Erik Lamela. The club were already after the Argentine before Franco Baldini took over as director of football but that should help the pursuit now.
Sunderland are ready to up their pursuit of Scott Parker. It is rumoured the England international midfielder no longer figures in the long-term plans of AVB and with that in mind the former West Ham player is available for transfer. Di Canio is said to be a fan of Parker’s professional attitude and could bid £4 million for the player.
Finally and Inter Milan chief Massimo Moratti has clarified the fact Tottenham are interested in Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin and Spurs are also set to join the summer race for Dutch international Ibrahim Afellay; who is on the transfer list at Barcelona.
