Martin Angha had a breakthrough at Arsenal this season, making his first senior appearances for the club.
A League Cup start and a Champions League substitute appearance were not enough to persuade him to stay at the Gunners, with the Swiss defender flying the nest to sign a deal with FC Nuremburg - Who finished 10th in the Bundesliga last season.
Angha is a defender who is not yet out of his teens, but clearly felt his chances of playing regularly were better best served abroad rather than remaining at Arsenal.
He has also been speaking about the switch, discussing how excited he is to be making the move:
He told the Bundesliga website: "The idea of playing against Bayern Borussia or in their stadiums is something simply fantastic.
"I'm 19, and I can compare myself with champions like Robben or Ribery.
I feel ready to play professionally, and I thank you for believing in me Nuremberg. At Arsenal I would not have had this opportunity.
"In London I was fine and I thank the club for what they gave me, but now I'm ready for the new adventure."
Able to play at centre-back and right-back, how he gets on next season will be fascinating. Angha will want to prove to Arsenal they should have fast-tracked him over the second half of this season, and given him more reason to stay.
Whether he can make them regret it, will be down to him...
Will Arsenal regret losing Angha? What do you think?
