Sevilla line up two replacements for Liverpool and West Ham transfer target

It looks as if Sevilla are ready to sell Alvaro Negredo as Helder Postiga and Ari get set for moves.

Alvaro Negredo has become a popular transfer target over the past few seasons and this summer is no different with the Sevilla goal-machine being lined up by numerous clubs from Spain and around the continent.

Atletico Madrid are considered the favourites for his signature as they look to replace Falcao this summer while Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Juventus have all also been mentioned recently as potential destinations.

In the Premier League there has also been plenty of interest in the Spanish international.

Everton went after him in January but never got to tie up a deal after disagreeing on the asking price while Swansea City made an enquiry; and quickly ruled themselves out of the running for the player.

So the two teams standing in the Premier League would appear, at least on paper, to be Liverpool and West Ham.

The Hammers are after Andy Carroll but should that deal fall through they might just look to reignite an offer they made for the player at the end of last month.

And Liverpool have recently been added to the list of suitors for the player as a potential replacement for Luis Suarez should the Uruguayan get his exit wish this summer.

Recently however Sevilla have remained stern about the need to sell the player by insisting that they are not under any pressure to let the player go after selling Jesus Navas to Manchester City.

But their recent transfer activity does not tell that story.

It is reported today that Sevilla re on the verge of signing not one but two new strikers this summer. The rumours over a potential deal for former Tottenham player Helder Postiga have been rumbling for a while now but today some sources have actually confirmed the deal - suggestion the €5 million transfer fee had been agreed.

While Russian daily Izvestia believe that Unai Emery wants to bring one of his old boys from Spartak Moscow with him on a free transfer; as Brazilian Ari looks to make the move to the Sanchez Pizjuan.

While squad improvement is one thing the signing of two new striking options has a more suspicious ring to it and there is no doubt, at least not in my mind, that Sevilla are preparing to say goodbye to their star striker this summer.
