Brendan Rodgers has described the type of player he wants to bring into Liverpool this summer.
Prolific Armenian goalscorer Henrikh Mkhitaryan is claimed to be in Liverpool's crosshairs as they focus in on summer transfer targets.
And it may have been subtle, but Brendan Rodgers dropped a small hint he may be looking in his direction very shortly.
The Liverpool manager said: "I'm looking to bring twenty goals into the team. I'm looking at another offensive player to give us a real threat on goal and another attacking midfield player.”
Now there are plenty of players who fit the manager's broad description, including even his former Swansea man Gylfi Sigurdsson.
But it is certainly true that Mkhitaryan fits the specification, perhaps too well. The Armenian scored 25 in 29 for Shakhtar this year, from an attacking midfield role rather than as an out and out centre forward.
By signing him, Liverpool guarantee goals into their team, and he would fulfill exactly what Brendan Rodgers is asking.
Shakhtar have sold Willian and Fernandinho for huge money already in 2013, and would equally expect another big fee for Mkhitaryan.
Liverpool's sale of Andy Carroll may be enough to provide the extra cash required, and cashing in on wantaway Luis Suarez would guarantee it.
It isn't possible to really know who Brendan Rodgers top targets are, but given his comments and the players linked in, Mkhitaryan is a great fit logistically, and from a football point of view for Liverpool.
The manager is targeting a top four tilt next season, and the Armenian might just provide the firepower to pull it off.
Do you believe Rodgers is going to move on Mkhitaryan? If not, who do you believe is in his sights?
