European transfer talk: Featuring Soldado, El Shaarawy and Postiga

Transfer targets for Tottenham, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Norwich City, Hull City and West Ham United all feature.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to have some pretty serious competition for Valencia striker Roberto Soldado. It is reported today that Atletico Madrid are set to make a move for the player as a replacement for Radamel Falcao while Russian clubs Anzhi Makhachkala and Rubin Kazan are also set to make a move for the striker.

Helder Postiga’s move to Sevilla from Real Zaragoza is on the verge of being finalised. The former Spurs striker is being lined up as a replacement for Alvaro Negredo this summer and is expected to sign for around €5 million.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to turn their attentions away from Wayne Rooney and on to Manchester City target Stephan El Shaarawy this summer; according to reports in Italy.

Inter Milan have reiterated their stance on goalkeeper Samir Handanovic by stating categorically that the Slovenian stopper is not for sale. Nerazzuri chief Massimo Moratti was speaking after the custodian was once again linked with a big money move to Barcelona.

Dejan Stankovic has committed a U-turn on his future with Inter Milan. It was reported that he was to cancel his contract with the club this summer in light of an MLS move but he has rejected those rumours and stated he is happy to remain at Inter for the time being.

The long awaited transfer of Lucas Biglia to Lazio has been confirmed by the Argentine’s current club Anderlecht. The 27-year-old is set to complete a four-year-deal worth €5 million this summer as soon as he returns from international duty.

Moroccan international defender Mehdi Benatia has confirmed he has given his word to AS Roma to sign for the club this summer. The Udinese defender stated he had rejected offers from Champions League clubs and the deal is said to be worth €6.5 million.

Anderlecht striker Dieumerci Mbokani has performed a dramatic U-turn and decided he does want to sign for Dynamo Kiev this summer. He now says he really wants to sign for Kiev and that a deal can be finalised as soon as he returns from international duty with DR Congo.
