It is not only fans of Everton, Arsenal and Manchester United giving Liverpool fans a hard time over their new eye-catching away strip.
When a season ends many important issues creep up into the conscious mind of the football fan. Will we still have the same manager, what will the season ticket cost next season - who can we buy?
And of course for some the most important question of all; what will the new kit look like?
This frenzied anticipation for the new kit even sees many a hoax photo-shopped together and thrown up on to Twitter; catching some fish by the hook while others just shake their head and click ‘Unfollow’.
But I do not think I have ever seen so many fans thinking ‘ I hope this is a hoax’ as I did when Warrior announced the new Liverpool Away Kit for next season:
Look at the excitement on Jose Enrique's face as he holds up the new Liverpool away kit... twitter.com/FootyHumour/st…— Footy Humour (@FootyHumour) June 5, 2013
Now we have all had our fun poking mockery toward Liverpool fans at the state of their brand spanking new away kit; as have Liverpool fans toward their Evertonian rivals for their awful new badge design.
But I don’t think the Germans had to get involved as well.
Bild have had their say on the kit today stating it’s resemblance to arcade game Space Invaders and how Liverpool fans will certainly be walking alone with these new kits on!
They didn’t just lay into Liverpool though.
Jorge Campos’ exuberant goalkeeper jerseys also had a claim laid at their door as ‘the ugliest jerseys of all time’.
But surely there are worse?
I mean what about Liverpool’s kit from last season? Or the Liverpool Ecru number? Or one of those Green-and-white items?
Sensing a theme with the Liverpool away kits here…
But I don’t see anything wrong with the new kit.
If others don’t like it all the better. Peter Schmeichel used to wear abstract goalkeeping designs to put off his opponents; so maybe it will do the same for Liverpool.
We just hope it isn’t the real reason Luis Suarez seems adamant on leaving Anfield this summer.
Plus whats wrong with a bit of eccentric coloured patterns. Me I love a Paisley shirt and in this heat nothing beats a good Hawaiian number.
Or maybe my lack of disdain says more about my fashion sense then it does the general public.
Back to drawing board with the wardrobe then.
Anyone fancy some Hawaiian shirts???
What do you honestly make of Liverpool’s new away kit?
