European transfer talk: Featuring Ronaldo, Ilicic and Gonalons

Former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo features alongside Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool transfer targets.

The biggest and perhaps most outrageous story from the continent today revolves around a reported €100 million bid for Cristiano Ronaldo being readied by mega-rich French outfit AS Monaco.

Espanyol playmaker Joan Verdu is expected to leave Espanyol this summer; and will announce his departure at a press conference tomorrow. The 30-year-old will not be signing a new contract at the Barcelona club and the 30-year-old is being linked with Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

The Joaquin to Fiorentina deal looks set to be finalised as it is reported the 31-year-old is all set to fly out to Italy today in order to consolidate a move. The deal is said to earn Malaga around €2.5 million for the winger.

Palermo want €15 million for Slovenian international midfielder Josip Ilicic. The clubs star player is expected to be sold this summer and is strongly linked with a move to Fiorentina but the Sicilian side will not be letting him go.

David Albelda has left Valencia after 15 years at the club. The veteran Spaniard has been club captain at the club and is revered as royalty by the clubs fans. However he has been released on a free transfer after discussions with the clubs new manager Miroslav Djukic.

Stuttgart have completed the signing of Hannover 96 striker Mohammed Abdellaoue in order to strengthen the currently thin striking options at the club. The Norwegian international has signed a four-year contract and joins fellow former H96 player Konstantin Rausch.

Maxime Gonalons is being linked with a move to AS Monaco. The mega rich club have been looking to add serious strength to their team ahead of an assault on Ligue 1 this season and are now looking into the possibility of luring the French international away from Lyon with a big bid expected this summer.
