Chelsea have moved closer to signing Dutch starlet Marco van Ginkel.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has reported that Vitesse Arnhem have accepted an offer from Chelsea for midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
"Vitesse has reached an agreement with Chelsea over the transfer of Marco van Ginkel from Arnhem to London.
"The club coach Jose Mourinho, who yesterday was officially presented at the English club, has (offeredd) more than 8.5 million euros for the midfielder."
The 20-year-old scored eight goals for his club last season, making 33 starts for the club in central midfield.
Van Ginkel is currently away with Holland's under-21 side, where he has been impressing with his performances.
With Holland already qualified for the semi-finals, thanks to 3-2 and 5-1 wins over Germany and Russia, it could be a little while until the transfer is officially tied up, and personal terms and a medical is completed.
