Arsenal latest: Including Higuain enquiry and Rosicky

News and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.

Arsenal have reportedly made an official enquiry for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine has been a regular name in the transfer rumour columns when it comes to Arsenal and now it appears that they are finally starting to move some pieces on this deal.

However one stumbling block could be the price tag; with Real Madrid insisting he is worth at least £25.5 million.

The same report also suggests that Arsenal are simply waiting for permission to talk to Everton midfielder Maraoune Fellaini after a £22 million bid was lodged last week. One the green light is given negotiations will start as soon as possible.

Cesc Fabregas will not be returning to Arsenal next season. The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United but said today that he had no desire to leave Barcelona as he intends to fight for his place in the La Liga champions starting XI.

Ivan Gazidis has again been flexing his muscles, the ones that control his mouth at least, over the financial firepower available to Arsene Wenger this summer. He also dismissed claims that Wenger could not be trusted with such a sizeable budget and that the Frenchman would use it wisely.

Hamburg are ready to try poach injury-prone midfielder Tomas Rosicky away from The Emirates this summer. The former Borussia Dortmund man is being lined up as an attacking midfielder replacement for potentially Bayer Leverkusen bound Heung Min Son.

Meanwhile on the site we have taken a look at what Fiorentina fans now think of Stevan Jovetic. The Montenegrin recently declared he wanted to leave the Florence club this summer amid rumours speculating he will join Arsenal, Chelsea or Juventus in the summer. Now the Viola fans have made it clear that they want him to leave after his admission.

Finally and reported Arsenal transfer target Victor Wanyama has told Kenyan TV that he will leave Celtic should a good offer come in for him this summer. The likes of Manchester United, Newcastle United, Inter Milan and Southampton have also been credited with an interest in the talented midfielder.
