Gazidis made the reference while speaking generally about the clubs extremely healthy financial standpoint. The suggestion is that Arsene Wenger could have £70 million to spend on improving the playing staff every summer.
One such player they are said to have bid for is Everton midfielder Maraoune Fellaini. The Belgian international is being strongly linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer and it is reported that The Gunners have made a £22 million bid for the 25-year-old. A deal could be concluded within a matter of weeks.
Rumours over the future of Swansea City star Michu have gathered momentum today after it emerged he had been left out of the squad list on the clubs official website. The Spaniard was linked with Arsenal earlier in the week and this just added fuel to those flames. He has since been reinstated.
The Mirror have expanded on their revelation over the pursuit of SC Freiburg teen Matthias Ginter. The 19-year-old has been linked with Borussia Dortmund today and Arsenal may have to go toe-to-toe with the Champions League finalists should they wish to snap up the starlet.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Russian double winners CSKA Moscow today meaning he may be playing Champions League football against The Gunners next season should they progress through the qualifying stages.
