Liverpool are being linked with a shock move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez. Tevez is thought to be keen on leaving the Etihad Stadium with rumours suggesting Liverpool are ready to offer him the chance to stay in England rather than join Juventus in Serie A.

Liverpool may struggle to hold onto Brazilian midfielder Lucas. Several British newspapers are running stories relating to Napoli’s apparent interest with Rafael Benitez keen to link up with his former player. Lucas was one of the club’s best players last season following his return from injury.

West Ham United are about to set a deadline over the future of Andy Carroll. It seems the Hammers have been working on ideas to keep Carroll at Upton Park but are unwilling to pay Liverpool’s valuation for the player. However, Carroll has said he wants to fight for his place at Anfield.

Lyon defender Dejan Lovren insists he is committed to the French club casting doubt over a move to Liverpool. Lovren has been linked with a switch to Anfield for several months but has indicated that he would prefer to stay and see out his contract in France.

Liverpool have been put on red alert after Nacer Chadli’s agent revealed he’s considering a move to the Premier League. The FC Twente defender has been touted as a possible midfield addition for Liverpool although Spurs are also though to be interested.

The Daily Mirror has suggested Liverpool may face growing competition to sign Thiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon. The 20-year-old impressed during his limited appearances for the Portuguese club last season and Liverpool may have to act quickly or risk missing out on him altogether.

Liverpool goalkeeper target Simon Mignolet is set to reject a new contract offer from Sunderland. The highly rated Belgian is a possible replacement for Pepe Reina at Liverpool and he could be a lot cheaper for the club if he doesn’t commit to a new deal.

Philippe Coutinho has admitted that he would love the chance to play alongside Brazilian legend Ronaldinho. Coutinho has described the former Barcelona star as an idol and says he hopes to play with him at some point during his career. Coutinho only completed a move from Inter Milan to Liverpool last January.

Martin Skrtel has put rumours over his future to bed stating he will fight for his place at Liverpool. The Slovakian had been tipped to link up with Rafa Benitez at Napoli but he’s ended the speculation, promising Liverpool fans he will be better and ready for the start of next season.
