All the news and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has stated that he believes Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will stay at the club beyond 18 years. It comes amid renewed speculation of a potential switch to French football with mega-rich capital outfit Paris Saint-Germain. But Gazidis feels that Wenger would not leave for Les Parisiens and will remain at Arsenal for the near future.

Reported Arsenal transfer target Simon Mignolet is unlikely to sign a contract extension at Sunderland this summer. His current deal expires in 2015 and it has been rumoured that the Black Cats would try and secure him to a more long-term deal in the coming months. However his agent Nico Vaesen says that is unlikely; fuelling rumours of a summer exit.

Arsenal are again being linked with 19-year-old SC Freiburg defender Matthias Ginter. The Mirror report their interest this morning and we have taken a look at the talented teenager ourselves.

Arsenal could finally make a move for long-term transfer target Yoann Gourcuff after he admitted he wants to leave his current club Lyon this summer. The French international has struggled with injury since arriving at the Rhone club three years ago and he is now keen on an exit. He also admitted he was open to offers from all manner of clubs by suggesting that if they were interesting enough he may consider it.

Arsenal’s pre-season friendly with Manchester City in Helsinki on August 10th is set to incense Roy Hodgson. The game will take place just four days before England’s friendly against Scotland and comes after money-spinning friendlies involving City, Chelsea and Tottenham took place at the end of the season; which equally perturbed the England boss.

Arsenal continue to be linked with a move for Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba - but as a central midfielder. The Austrian international is said to be keen on playing further up the pitch then he currently does but Bayern have no immediate plans to afford him his wish. Arsenal are rumoured to be ready to offer him the role in an attempt to lure him to London.

Finally, and Arsene Wenger has been speaking about his hopes for the future of Ryo Miyaichi’s career. The young Japanese star spent much of last season injured on-loan at Wigan Athletic but Wenger still believes he has all the raw attributes to become a real star for the club.
