Tottenham remain interested in Radja Nainggolan, reports from Italy have confirmed.

Last month it was claimed Tottenham had been in touch with the agent of midfielder Radja Nainggolan over a potential move this summer.

The powerful Cagliari midfielder is a Belgian international who at 25-years-old is also wanted by several top Serie A clubs.

Among those also linked at Rafa Benitez's Napoli, but according to the latest reports, Tottenham are still interested.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport has vouched for Andre Villas-Boas' interest in the midfielder, and that Spurs are strongly considering a bid.

Cagliari are open to a sale, ready to cash in on the midfielder, and are now awaiting Tottenham's bid.

To add further intrigue to any deal, Nainggolan has been 'holidaying' in London. Whether he met with any clubs or officials during that time is a matter of pure speculation at this point, but it is something which is certainly conceivable.

CdS report: "The midfielder has returned to Cagliari after spending a few days of vacation in London. And just from the English capital comes the strong pressure of Tottenham, the rossoblùs waiting for a signal from London to understand what the figures (are)."

The part-Indonesian midfielder played 34 games in Serie A this season, with his performances winning him a call into the Belgium squad, although he was not selected for their  upcoming qualifier against Serbia, he won his most recent cap in February.

He is valued at around £10 million, and resembles Brazilian midfielder Sandro in style - and would be a younger upgrade on Scott Parker in midfield.

Now it appears Cagliari are simply waiting for Spurs to put together their bid and appear to be willing sellers, if their valuation is met.

How strong Tottenham's interest is and how high the midfielder is on their priorities, remain to be seen, but with no international complications holding up a deal - this is one that if Spurs decide they want to conclude quickly, they might just be able to.
