Manchester City have been seriously pursuing Spanish speedster Jesus Navas is recent weeks, and it appears they are getting closer to signing him up.
Navas was in action last night for Sevilla, playing his part in their 4-3 victory over Valencia which ended Los Che's Champions League chances.
And after the game he gave a big indication as to his next move when he was quizzed on his plans.
Spanish newspaper Marca reported that the winger said: "I like Manchester City a lot and it has great players."
"I think that today is Palop's day and it is his day to shine. The team and the fans deserve it all. I'm open to anything. I want to win more and reach my goals.
"Manchester City has done all it can to bring me in and I have to be grateful for that. I want to go on and win trophies."
He was referring to Palop, the Sevilla goalkeeper whose departure was confirmed ahead of the game after eight years at the club, with his contract expiring.
Navas himself has two years remaining on his deal with the club, and at 27-years-old is clearly heavily considering making a big move.
He may not get this opportunity which City are offering him again so is clearly giving it big consideration.
Navas had rejected moves abroad earlier in his career citing homesickness, but has given no indication that is still a factor.
At City he would find himself among compatriots, with David Silva and Javi Garcia in the playing staff, and Txiki Begiristan and Ferran Soriano as club executives.
Navas provided nine assists and scored once in all competitions for Sevilla this season, and will fancy his chances of making a real impact in the Premier League next season if he makes the switch.
His comments are a clear indication that Sevilla can't fulfil his ambitions and Manchester City can, and have made him feel valuable in their early negotiations to try and secure his signature - Watch this space.
