Luis Suarez’s agent has said his player is happy at Liverpool and is not thinking of moving away. Several media stories from the last couple of days have revealed the striker’s apparent interest in making good the rumours linking him with a switch to Real Madrid.
Spanish newspaper Marca even claimed today Suarez has agreed personal terms with Madrid on a four-year deal, but admits the club are yet to contact Liverpool or make a bid.
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been ruled out of England’s friendly game against Brazil with an ankle injury. The forward picked up the knock during the 1-1 draw against Ireland, as he was eventually carried away from the field on a stretcher. Scans have revealed there is no break.
Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Iago Aspas from Celta Vigo. The striker is thought to have cost the club around the £7 million mark and he will become Brendan Rodgers’ second summer signing following an agreement with current Manchester City defender Kolo Toure.
