European transfer talk: Featuring Boateng, Carvalho and Falcao

Former Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth players feature alongside Manchester United and Manchester City transfer targets.

It looks as if AS Monaco are on the brink of snapping up Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid. The Colombian striker, who has been linked with a number of European football’s top clubs, will reportedly complete a medical imminently after the two clubs agreed on a fee; believed to be in the region of £50 million.

Monaco have also snapped up Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho. The Portuguese veteran has signed a one-year-deal on a free transfer. He had recently dropped down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and will be hoping for first team football at the Stade Louis II.

Monaco may not be done with their big spending just yet. It has been suggested that Claudio Ranieri has asked the club hierarchy to invest in Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng. The AC Milan player could leave Italy after becoming irritated with the racist abuse in the country and Monaco may be the perfect destination for the ex-Pompey star.

Fiorentina are ready to make a move for Levante goalkeeper Gustavo Munua. The former Deportivo La Coruna stopper has been in good form this season and could now be ready to swap La Liga for Serie A football. However he did deny agreeing a move.

It has looked for a while now that Diego was set to move to Atletico Madrid from VfL Wolfsburg; but it seems the actions of Barcelona could change all of that. Barca have signed Neymar for a large sum of money leaving Diego’s former club Santos ready to spend big to strengthen in his absence. They see their former talisman as a major target.

Bojan Krkic will not be a AC Milan player next season. The Barcelona forward has been on loan at the San Siro this season but failed to impress much like he did at AS Roma last season. Therefore Milan have informed his parent club they have no desire to pursue his signature.

Fabio Coentrao seems set on an exit from Real Madrid this summer; and Juventus are set to enter the race for the 25-year-old Portuguese international. The Serie A champions could make a bid this week for the attacking left-back.

Marseille are said to be stepping up their interest in Lille playmaker Dimitri Payet and look set to finalise their long drawn out pursuit of Rennes starlet Romain Alessandrini.

Former Arsenal forward Jeremie Aliadiere looks set to be rewarded for his excellent campaign with summer interest in his talents. Lorient are set to receive offers from Marseille and Lille for his services in the coming months; with Lyon also reportedly interested.
