Manchester United and Spurs targets Thiago Alcantara and Villa being pushed out with shirts under threat

Barcelona are pushing Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur targets out of the club thanks to the arrival of Neymar.

Barcelona have given their clearest indication yet that one of, if not both Thiago Alcantara and David Villa will leave the club this summer.

Thiago Alcantara is available for €18 million due to a clause in his contract relating to the number of minutes played this season, which even the full 90 in the final game of the season will not meet.

Manchester United are said to be trailing the 22-year-old Spaniard, who scored against them in pre-season in 2011.

Tottenham are said to be negotiating over a move for David Villa - who they hope to persuade to join them despite missing out on Champions League football.

Now the arrival of Neymar has served to confirm both will leave the club, after their shirts were both offered up for the Brazilian.

Neymar is yet to be officially awarded a shirt, torn between the number 11 he wears for Santos, and the number 7 which he also is said to favour.

This is expected to be finalised ahead of his official unveiling, but in the meantime, as reported by Marca, Barcelona have placed both shirts on sale in their club shop with his name on them.

It's a snub to both David Villa who currently wears the number 7 shirt, and Thiago who wears the number 11.

That nudge out the door could be confirmed if Neymar is awarded one of the numbers, but the fact the celebratory shirts are already on sale with their numbers is already an indicator the pair do not have a future at the club.
