The Metro has suggested that Bayern Munich will re-ignite their interest in signing Luis Suarez from Liverpool. The German club were mentioned as a possible destination when the striker picked up his current ten match ban, with the possibility that he could turn his back on English football.

Raheem Sterling has suggested Liverpool will be in the top four by the end of next season. The teenage says the clubs strong finish to the last campaign will give them momentum and the confidence to get off to a better start both home and away this August.

Martin Skrtel has suggested he would be interested in offers for him from big clubs. The centre back has been out of favour with Brendan Rodgers, which has led to speculation he will leave Anfield. He’s confirmed there’s been nothing official yet but has said he will examine all offers carefully.

Chelsea have emerged as new courters of Lille left back Lucas Digne. News broke last week that Liverpool were considering a bid for the defender who was named as the best young player in France last season. Any bidding war could see Liverpool priced out of any option to buy Digne.

Former Kop favourite Dietmar Hamann has tipped Joe Allen to be the most improved player at Liverpool next season. The German says Allen will improve after a season where he has struggled following his high profile £15 million transfer from Swansea City.

Raheem Sterling has set his sights on a place in England’s World Cup squad to play in Brazil. Sterling was left out of the Under-21 European Championship squad due to injury and feels that will give him a better opportunity to play well for the England senior squad.

FC Twente winger Nacer Chadli is on the verge of a move to Shakhtar Donetsk. The midfielder had been suggested as a possible cheap signing for Brendan Rodgers’ side but appears to have been tempted in by a better off from the experienced European team.

Liverpool left back Jack Robinson has set his sights on a starting place in the first team. Robinson spent the last part of last season on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers, who were subsequently relegated down to League One. Robinson has targeted Jose Enrique as the man to oust from the current senior side.

Defender Danny Wilson has joined Scottish clubs Hearts on a permanent deal. Wilson had been on loan with the Scottish club and has made the switch after Liverpool took the decision to release him from his contract early so that he could stay in Scotland with the SPL side.
