Chelsea news: Three stars called up to Spain's Confederations Cup squad

Three Chelsea players have been called into Spain's provisional Confederations Cup squad.

The demands on Chelsea's Juan Mata never stop - he has been called up to yet another international tournament. Over the past two summers he has played a part in three;

The 2011 European under-21 championships, Euro 2012 and the Olympic Games. Now he can add the Confederations Cup to that list.

He will be joined by Chelsea teammates Fernando Torres and Cesar Azpilicueta - with Torres back in favour after missing recent squads.

The full squad is announced below:

Iker Casillas (Real Madrid), Jose Reina (Liverpool), Victor Valdes (Barcelona).

Jordi Alba (Barcelona), Raul Albiol (Real Madrid), Alvaro Arbeloa (Real Madrid), Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea), Nacho Monreal (Arsenal), Gerard Pique (Barcelona), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid).

Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid), Benat Etxebarria (Real Betis), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Santi Cazorla (Arsenal), Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona), Javi Garcia (Manchester City), Andres Iniesta (Barcelona), Javi Martinez (Bayern Munich), Juan Mata (Chelsea), Jesus Navas (Sevilla), Pedro (Barcelona), David Silva (Manchester City) Xavi (Barcelona).

Fernando Torres (Chelsea), Roberto Soldado (Valencia), David Villa (Barcelona).

That 26-man squad will be cut to 23 ahead of the tournament kick-off.

The tournament begins on June 15 and runs through until June 30. Spain face Uruguay, Nigeria and Tahiti in their group.
