Various reports around Europe over the past 24 hours have linked Arsenal with a move for Portuguese striker Eder.
"The Portuguese playmaker makes the list of reinforcements intended for Arsenal, who will be willing to pay a sum of around €19 million." - The report states.
Another report in Italy has also ran an article 'Braga, Arsenal also follows Eder'.
Eder plays for Braga and has scored 13 goals in 18 Primera Liga matches for his club this season, also featuring in the Champions League against Manchester United.
So are Arsenal about to make an imminent transfer offer for the 25-year-old as the reports suggest?
The answer to that is no - for their reference is an article published by the Daily Mail last night, declaring Newcastle United's interest in the player.
So Arsenal's previous interest was tagged onto the current report linking Newcastle to the player, which is now being reported as being in the present.
Of course Arsene Wenger still may hold interest in the striker who has been in fantastic form - but all of the above has not prevented new reports cropping up based on the Mail's story.
So if you do see any more articles linking Arsenal to Eder over the coming days, it doesn't appear to be based on any present activity - so remain dubious.
