It has been a truly busy day in Europe regarding potential transfers so let’s keep it short and sweet starting off with Newcastle and Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. It has been reported today that the Gabonese striker has been asked by Samuel Eto’o to join him at Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala.
The biggest news from European transfer talk today has to be in regards to FC Porto pairing James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho who are both on their way to AS Monaco. The two have been the talk of much transfer speculation in recent months with Premier League teams also mentioned. However a €70 million deal has reportedly been agreed.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos has agreed a move to Borussia Dortmund from Werder Bremen. The former AC Milan defender had originally been expected to agree a move to Bayer Leverkusen but reportedly had a late change of heart which has angered Bayer officials.
Palermo playmaker Josip Illicic may have been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool recently but it now appears his heart is set on a destination much closer to home. After confirming he was much more likely to remain in Italy Serie A side AC Milan have now been installed as the favourites to sign the Slovenian from the relegated Sicilian club.
Previously linked with Arsenal and Norwich City; Lucas Biglia has confirmed his departure from Belgian outfit Anderlecht. The Argentine midfielder is now expected to sign a deal with Italian side Lazio imminently.
Leandro Damiao may be back on the cards for Tottenham Hotspur. Marseille had recently joined the race for the Brazilian but like Spurs have found themselves struggling to muster the vast sums of money that his current club Internacional Porto Alegre want for his services.
Sunderland striker target Mahatma Otoo claims to be the subject of a bid from Portuguese giants Benfica. Otoo currently plays with Ghanaian club Hearts of Oak and is being dubbed the ‘next Asamoah Gyan’.
Finally and Russian outfit CSKA Moscow are looking to sign Viktor Elm from AZ Alkmaar. The Swedish international would be partnered up with his brother Rasmus in the Russian champions midfield.
