I’ll stress right now, it’s a publicity stunt. If Mourinho had actually posed in a Chelsea shirt, he’d probably have a smile on his face at his imminent return to London, probably.
Mourinho is being heavily tipped to walk into the top job at Stamford Bridge and Daylite LED, the West London company behind the stunt, are taking full advantage of that because they own the billboard.
It seems a matter of time until it becomes official so where’s the harm in trying to piggyback on some of that attention?
The billboard definitely gets the company some positive support from the local community because they also included the Twitter has tag, used by many Chelsea fans, on the advert as well as his ‘Special One’ nickname.
Rivals of Chelsea will be sick of the site of this billboard in West London and will probably find it a relief when he’s confirmed in the job and they don’t have to look at it every day as they go to and from work or about their daily business.
Check it out;
Tasteful? Shameless? Clever?
