Charles N'Zogbia must have a very good agent. For how else do you explain a link between the Aston Villa winger and Borussia Dortmund?
If you haven't caught hold of this one yet, it has been reported in Germany that N'Zogbia is being tracked by Dortmund, a rumour which began via French publication France Football.
Now even the German reports have picked up on the fact that N'Zogbia may not be up to the task of replacing Mario Gotze, questioning whether he has 'sufficient qualities.'
This is the player who was dubbed 'frustratingly awful' by HITC's Aston Villa columnist Simon Bunn earlier this season for his tepid performances early into the second season of his Villa career.
The 26-year-old did pick up his performances in the final few months of the season, contributing two goals and two assists in his final 10 Premier League games.
These included a winner over West Ham and a goal in a 1-1 draw against Fulham, a crucial four points in Villa's overall total of 41 points.
His late impact may just have been enough to save his Villa career, but a move to Borussia Dortmund? That really is pushing it.
He was just this week linked to ambitious French side Monaco, which may be more likely, and a return to his native France - where he has two international caps, may just be good for him.
N'Zogbia was fantastic for Wigan, but has never produced the consistency his £9.5 million move promise at Villa Park, suffering under Alex McLeish's negative tactics in his first season.
There are signs he can play an important role for Villa next season if he sticks around. It's fair to say it's 50/50 at this point, as the links point to the fact his agent is busy touting him round Europe for a move away from the club.
Just don't expect it to be to Borussia Dortmund.
Villa fans are you shocked by the reports?
