Developer and publishers trot out best of show for fans.

While Microsoft unveiled its next-generation of home consoles, Xbox One, developers and publishers touted their own efforts for the upcoming device.

EA stepped on to offer Call of Duty: Ghosts, which Microsoft describes as a “stunning leap forward for the franchise”, with a story set in an all-new world and a cutting edge engine.

Additionally, EA Sports revealed that it would release FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, NBA Live 14 and UFC to the console, which promise to deliver “massive innovations” with the company's new Ignite Engine.

Remedy Entertainment, formed from the creators of Max Payne and Alan Wake, unveiled Quantum Break, a project that straddles both gaming and TV by creating a story that people can play through and watch on TV.

“How you play the game impacts the show, and the show informs how you play the game,” Microsoft explained.

“Xbox One is designed to deliver a whole new generation of blockbuster games, television and entertainment in a powerful, all-in-one device,” said Don Mattrick, president, Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft.

“Our unique, modern architecture brings simplicity to the living room and, for the first time ever, the ability to instantly switch across your games and entertainment.”
