European transfer talk: Featuring Ter Stegen, Pjanic and Corchia

Transfer targets for Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Southampton all feature.

Barcelona seem to be on the verge of signing Marc Andre Ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach. The German international has long been mentioned as a potential replacement for Victor Valdes; after the Spanish international announced his intentions to leave this summer. The deal is believed to be worth in the region of €15 million.

Eric Abidal is reportedly set to join AS Monaco this summer. The French international will leave Barcelona on a free transfer this summer as he is not in the first team plans in Catalonia next season. The veteran defender has only recently returned from a liver transplant but may already be on his way out.

Juventus have long been linked with signing Mattheus, the son of Brazilian legend Bebeto, but that deal has fell through. Negotiations have turned sour between the Old Lady and his Brazilian club Flamengo where he has now decided to sign a new deal.

AC Milan have joined the race to sign Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic from AS Roma. The playmaker is being lined up by several clubs across the continent but a move to a fellow Serie A side looks on the cards. However it is being suggested he may wait and see who the next Roma coach is before making any decision on his future.

Olympique Lyonnais have targeted two promising young French full-backs for next season. Le Havre left-back Benjamin Mendy who has also been targeted by Juventus is on their radar but they are also hoping that Sochaux fail in their battle for survival. They are ready to battle for Sebastian Corchia, the French under-21 captain, with Premier League opposition.
