European transfer talk: Featuring Cavani, Martinez and Icardi

Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal transfer targets all feature.

FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez, who has been in sensational goalscoring form this season, is now a transfer target for Spanish outfit Real Madrid. The Colombian goal-machine has been strongly linked with the likes of Liverpool and Galatasaray in the past but it now appears that Los Merengues are ready to approach him about a potential switch to Spanish football.

Athletic Bilbao may have recently announced the coup of signing Benat from Real Betis in the summer but they could now end up losing another of their star talents. 23-year-old creative midfielder Ander Herrera has been strongly linked with a move to La Liga rivals Barcelona this week.

Red alert! Red Alert! Another potentially spurious Monaco rumour coming your way. It is being reported that the Ligue 2 promotion winners see Marseille goalkeeper Steven Mandanda as the perfect addition to their squad. The French international would not come cheap but that appears to not be a problem for the Monegasque.

Edinson Cavani is again being strongly linked with Paris Saint-German. Ligue 1 champions PSG are considered the favourites to snap up the Uruguayan goal-machine from Napoli despite interest from several other top European outfits all looking to bring him in.

Juventus are to join the race for Borussia Dortmund right-back Lukasz Piszczek. Real Madrid are already said to be keen on the Polish international while Arsenal have also been mentioned as a potential destination. It comes as Stephan Lichtsteiner looks increasingly like being sold; with PSG a likely destination.

Sampdoria’s highly sought after youngster Mauro Icardi has expressed his joy and flattery at being linked with a move to Inter Milan. The former Barcelona player says the lure of playing for the same team as several former Argentine stars is one of the key reasons behind his motivation.

Finally and Lazio are reportedly ready to try and tempt Valencia forward Jonas to the club. The Brazilian has been in good form this season and the Biancocelesti are ready to offer €12 million for his services; a sum they feel will be enough to tempt Valencia into a sale.
