Real Betis midfielder Benat Exteberria has agreed a move to Athletic Bilbao in the summer. The Spanish international, who has been in inspired form this season, is returning to the club he played for as a boy on an €8 million deal this summer. It puts paid to weeks of speculation linking him with moves to the Premier League, Bundesliga and Serie A.
Real Betis are likely to use the money from the deal in order to try lure Jozy Altidore back to Spain. The former Hull City striker failed during his previous stint with Villarreal but has been in inspired form this season for Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar. The American international is expected to leave the club after they struggled in the league this term.
AS Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic believes that a deal to see Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao arrive at the club is ‘90% done’. The Croatian international was speaking to press in his homeland when he revealed his belief in the deals being imminent.
