Several reports have suggested Moyes will start his role as Manchester United boss unofficially following Everton’s final Premier League match of this season against Chelsea this weekend.
It doesn’t just stop with his staff though as he seems to have already started making a positive impression within United supporters groups.
Moyes was snapped posing with some Manchester United fans before the parade yesterday, where the current squad and Sir Alex Ferguson showed off the Premier League trophy to their adoring public.
Considering Everton’s next game is in London, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Moyes nipped over to Manchester from Merseyside to experience the celebrations, maybe he was invited, before he goes back to Everton to prepare for his final match as their manager.
Either way what this tells us is that Moyes is off to a very good start with United fans. It would have been understandable had he refused to have a picture taken with them.
After all had a player been pictured wearing the shirt of the team he’s about to join, when he hasn’t officially joined them, we’d expect that player to get completely ripped apart.
It seems innocent enough and doesn’t appear to be a sign of disrespect towards Everton football club or their supporters.
