Did any one say David May?
The Manchester United bit-part defender became a figure of fun by dominating Manchester United's Champions League winning photo back in 1999, despite barely playing a part in the competition.
And now Nicklas Bendtner has written his name into such fame, of sorts, in collecting his Serie A title winners medal.
The presentation took place this afternoon, with two ex-Arsenal players picking up medals as part of the Juventus squad.
Alongside Bendtner was Nicolas Anelka, who signed for the Turin club in January at 34, who has played in just two Serie A games.
While Anelka was clearly just along for the ride at 34, Bendtner was trying to rejuvenate his career in Italy and has had a terrible time.
He played in just eight Serie A games after clinching a deadline day loan move, mostly off the bench, and failed to score, before picking up a serious knee injury which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
But regardless the Dane picked up a medal for his efforts and was keen to thank supporters.
A massive thanks to all the juventus fans who have support the team, happy to win a trophy even tho I had a difficult year with injury. LOVE— Nicklas Bendtner (@bendtnerb52) May 11, 2013
Just don't expect Juventus to be taking him back any time soon. Cardiff City were the most recent club linked with his signature and the newly promoted club may be around his level if he is prepared to admit it.
It will just grate with Arsenal fans that he has won a medal on his loan spell before any of the current Gunners squad, and in further irony he has even collected his before former Gooner and teammate Robin van Persie.
Bendtner has one year left on his Arsenal contract, but needs to move on and start playing regularly if he is to save his career.
Do you expect Arsenal to be able to sell Bendtner this summer or will they be left having to loan him again?
