Piers Morgan has a plan to get Wayne Rooney playing in an Arsenal shirt, which he revealed via his Twitter account.
That plan is to drop the personal insults towards the Manchester United striker on the social networking site Twitter.
Morgan admitted that if Rooney decided to join Arsenal this summer, as unlikely as that seems, he would stop referring to the England striker as ‘Shrek’ and would back off from arguments with the forward on Twitter.
Rooney is being heavily tipped to leave Manchester United this summer with several top clubs from England thought to be interested in poaching him.
However, there is a very good chance new Manchester United boss David Moyes will be able to talk Rooney into staying.
The only other possible alternative is that the club would sell Rooney to a huge overseas side such as Real Madrid or Bayern Munich, who are only rivals to United in a European sense.
If Rooney ended up at Arsenal, that would have to be one of Arsene Wenger’s best signings and it may not be a bad thing to have one of the most argumentative Twitter users in his corner.
