Tottenham Hotspur latest: Including David Villa and Prince-Boateng

David Villa

All the latest Tottenham Hotspur related news and gossip.

Reports in Spain have suggested Tottenham have made a 12 million Euros offer for Barcelona striker David Villa. The paper Sport also claims Atletico Madrid have made a similar offer but Barcelona want 15 million for Spain's all-time leading goalscorer.

One striker currently at the club is Emmanuel Adebayor, who scored a terrific goal in the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge last night, and he has been busy discussing his season. He admits the campaign has been 'difficult', blaming injuries and a lack of fitness, but says he will give everything in Tottenham's remaining fixtures. HITC writer Mathew Nash takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the striker's goal last night, commenting that he never doubted him...

Tottenham's fate is now out of their hands, needing to pick up maximum points from games away to Stoke and at home to Sunderland, as well as hoping Arsenal or Chelsea slip up. We have taken a look at how Peter Crouch could punish his former club at the Britannia this weekend.

Talksport claim that Spurs are trying to re-sign Kevin Prince-Boateng, who is now a star at AC Milan. Manchester City were recently linked, but they state Spurs are ahead in the race for his signature, with the Ghanaian likely to cost £12.5 million.

Valencia striker Roberto Soldado has commented on his future, which is very much up in the air if his club fail to finish fourth in La Liga, and currently they lie fifth. He admits he may have to be sold due to the club's finances, with Spurs previously stated to be one of the club's following him.

We have also taken a look at Everton's past interest in Joao Moutinho, who David Moyes was unable to sign due to the club's finances. We have suggested that the manager's move to Manchester United could see the Red Devils become another club to leap in front of Spurs in the battle to sign him this summer from Porto.

And finally, we have taken a look at the player who would be a perfect cut-price understudy for Gareth Bale, who could be available this summer. Valentin Stocker scored for Basel against Spurs in the Europa League, and the left-winger has a staggering 24 assists already this season. However Borussia Moenchengladbach want to sign him, so Spurs may have to act fast.
