Rafa Benitez is agonisingly close to leaving Chelsea with his head held high, with a top four spot almost theirs, next on the agenda is the Europa League Final.
Standing in their way are Portuguese league leaders Benfica, who dispatched Fenerbahce in the last round.
Chelsea knocked out Benfica in the Champions League last season, on their way to lift the trophy, and will fancy their chances.
The game will also see David Luiz pitted against his former club, and likewise Nemanja Matic who went the other way in the deal.
The will of Benfica to win the tie should not be under-estimated, with the Primera Liga often seen as a poorer relation to England's Premier League, Chelsea will have to be on their guard.
One Portuguese former international who believes they can do it is Blackburn Rovers striker Nuno Gomes, now 36-years-old and playing his football in the Championship since being signed by Steve Kean last summer.
He said: "Benfica have all the conditions to win. The Chelsea is a tough opponent, but in England did not get what they liked - the title - and was eliminated from the Champions League.
"But (they are) the European champions and want to win the Europa League. Therefore, I predict a tough game for Benfica, although it is not impossible for them to win anything."
So Gomes may be backing his compatriots, but the bookies are a little more undecided. Chelsea are ever so slight favourites at 8/11, but Benfica can also be backed at 5/4.
The match takes place next week on Wednesday May 15 at 7.45pm.
Who do you believe will win? Will Gomes be right?
