Arsenal have confirmed the destinations for their pre-season tour of Asia. The one date that immediately springs to attention regards the club becoming the first ever Premier League side to visit Vietnam on July 17th. It had long been rumoured that The Gunners would indeed break this taboo but it is now confirmed they will face the Vietnam national team in Hanoi on that date.
Arsenal will also play the Indonesia national team in Jakarta and to Japan to face Arsene Wenger’s former side Nagoya Grampus on the 14th and 22nd of July respectively.
Reported Arsenal transfer target Diego Costa wants to stay at Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian international has had an excellent season for Los Colchoneros stated that he had no desire to leave the club who will be playing Champions League football next season.
In the most sensational and potentially ridiculous of Arsenal rumours today the club are reportedly in the running for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. The England international reportedly informed the club a fortnight ago that he wished to leave Old Trafford for a new challenge and many teams have found themselves linked with his signing as a consequence; including The Gunners.

Aaron Ramsey has been voted Arsenal’s Player of the Month for April. The Welshman has cemented himself a place in the first team picture in recent weeks and beat off competition from Laurent Koscielny and Tomas Rosicky to receive the accolade. Finally; and the annual charity fundraiser at The Emirates stadium was held last night where the players got suited and booted to help raise money for a good cause. Hosted by comedian and Arsenal fan Matt Lucas the event managed to raise over £300,000 for the Arsenal Foundation, Save the Children and the Willow Foundation; a charity set-up by club legend Bob Wilson.
In the auctions on the night Jack Wilshere spent £5k on a shirt signed by the ‘Invincibles’ while Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott had a bidding war for a game of four-balls at Gleneagles golf course - where Walcott prevailed.
