Ganguly joined PIMCO on April 22nd and is based in the firm’s Singapore office, reporting to Rob Mead, Head of Asia-Pacific Credit Portfolio Management & Head of Portfolio Management Australia, and Ramin Toloui and Michael Gomez, Global Co-Heads of Emerging Markets Portfolio Management. PIMCO manages more than US$2 trillion in assets globally as of 31 March 2013.

Ganguly’s Asian credit market experience complements PIMCO’s global team of 18 Emerging Markets portfolio managers and 21 Global Credit Portfolio Managers. This global investment platform is supported by PIMCO’s credit research team which consists of over 70 credit research analysts providing comprehensive global credit coverage in over 40 industries.
Ganguly is a Senior Vice President and Asia Credit / Emerging Market Corporate Portfolio Manager. Ganguly joins PIMCO from Deutsche Bank, where he was a Director and market maker for Asian High Yield bonds. He was rated one of the Top Asian Credit Traders by The Asset Magazine in 2012.
He was previously the lead analyst for Citigroup and JP Morgan and has 12 years of investment experience. He holds an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a post graduate diploma in Management from IIM-A. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
