Has Nemanja Vidic just made himself a target for Bayern Munich?

Nemanja Vidic has praised the way Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have played this summer, which could prompt the champions into buying him.

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has joined the growing list of fans and players who have praised the impact that the two big sides from Germany have had this season.

Vidic has revealed his admiration for the way both teams go about their business, but in particular the team work and work ethic which has been demonstrated by Bayern Munich this season.

Vidic is a very valuable member of the current United side and his desire to replicate the same sort of skills at United, may ironically tempt Bayern Munich into making a swoop for him this summer.

Bayern are in the market for a defender according to the press with Laurent Koscielny another high profile target who has been tipped to link up with their back four ahead of Pep Guardiola’s season in charge.

There aren’t too many reasons why Vidic would walk away from his responsibilities and roles at United, but the chance to join something clearly very special, with the potential to dominate football over the next few years will be very tempting.

It’s around the sort of time that United are going to be thinking about getting him tied down to his next long term contract, with his current deal running out next summer.

In short, if he’s not going to sign a new contract then this summer is probably the time that United would choose to sell him and Bayern Munich would certainly be one of the side interested in snapping him up.

Vidic is arguably a better defender than Koscielny at Arsenal and he has core skills which would make him a very good signing for the German champions.

His strength and presence at the back of any team he plays for, has the ability to rub off on the rest of the side which just increases and improves the team levels of hard work and determination which will be a factor should Bayern take a look at him.

What United have in their favour is that he seems intent on using the way Bayern play to improve the way United play and he wouldn’t really care if he wasn’t staying at Old Trafford for the rest of his career.

He’s just like any other player and centre back, with a team that could very easily and willingly take a look at him before deciding whether to make a move.

He is literally Mr Manchester United at the moment so any move into German football with Bayern Munich would certainly not be instigated on his part.

If Bayern dangle the carrot then based on the way they have played this season, few would argue against any top defender from the Premier League leaving to join that project?

Do you think Vidic will ever leave United?
