All the latest Tottenham Hotspur news and gossip.
Tottenham have a Premier League game this weekend which could be huge in their battle to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League. They face Southampton at White Hart Lane tomorrow (Saturday) in a 3pm kick-off which will see them look to get back to winning ways after last week's 2-2 draw away to Wigan.
Moussa Dembele is in with a chance of being fit to start the game, report the BBC, with a fitness test prior to kick-off likely to be needed to verify his prospects. Spurs have no fresh injury concerns, with double Player of the Year Gareth Bale in full health to face his former club.
Arsenal's Lukas Fabianksi says he is worried that Spurs winger Andros Townsend and former player Jermaine Jenas will be going all out for QPR to do Spurs a favour, along with former manager Harry Redknapp, when the relegated side face Arsenal tomorrow. Spurs will not expect the Hoops to get anything from the game, so any dropped points from the Gunners will be a nice bonus, while Chelsea face a tough encounter away to champions Manchester United.
In transfer news, Spanish newspaper AS have reported that Andre Villas-Boas was a recent visitor to Barcelona's facilities, with it believed his trip was connected to youngsters from the club's academy Spurs are interested in. Talksport have speculated that three players he could have been looking at include Jonathan dos Santos, Sergi Roberto, and their most highly rated youngster Gerard Deulofeu, which is unlikely.
The Metro claim that Spurs are closing on a deal for Montpellier's Younes Belhanda, after the Moroccan was again edged closer to the exit door by his club president, and an £8 million price tag set for him. However there are no facts to support the claim that Spurs are at all near doing a deal for the 23-year-old playmaker.
As it is the final day of the Championship season this weekend ahead of the play-offs, Tottenham's website takes a look at the club's loan players in action, particularly those with something to play for. Striker Harry Kane has a chance to be a hero when Leicester take on Nottingham Forest in a fight for the play-offs. Highly rated Alex Pritchard finally made his first start for Peterborough last week after an injury nightmare, and has a huge challenge to try and save his side from relegation by influencing the game against play-off chasing Crystal Palace. Right-back Adam Smith will be desperately hoping his Millwall side are not surprise fall-guys, with an outside chance they could be relegated if results do not go their way.
