European Transfer Talk: Featuring Damiao, Higuain and Kouyate

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham transfer targets all feature.

Tottenham Hotspur’s long-term striker target Leandro Damiao is looking like being a summer transfer pinch for French outfit Marseille. The Brazilian international is just one of several players being linked with a move to the South of France today along with other Premier League targets such as Henri Bedimo and Jeremie Aliadiere.

It is reported that Marseille representative Jean-Phillipe Durand is currently in Brazil working on a deal for Damiao.

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has been linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus this summer. The Argentine has previously announced a potential desire to leave this summer after a lack of playing time at The Bernabeu in the past couple of seasons. This has led to talk linking him with moves to Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs but now it seems the Old Lady are entering the race; hoping to add him to Fernando Llorente in their strike-force next season.

Valencia look ready to enter the race for Anderlecht’s highly rated defender Cheikhou Kouyate. The La Liga outfit reportedly sent scouts to run the rule over the defender against Club Brugge this week; and they see him as a possible replacement for the seemingly outgoing Adil Rami. They are also said to be chasing KV Kortrijk defender Stefan Mitrovic.

And in other news…

- Marco Veratti has again been linked with a move from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid; if Carlo Ancelotti goes the same way.

- Fiorentina seem to have won the battle for summer free agent Modibo Diakite of Lazio, despite late reported interest from Sunderland.
