Guggenheim Securities Hires MD

Guggenheim Securities has announced the hiring of Rich McDermott as a Managing Director in its New York office.

McDermott is joining Guggenheim Securities with a mandate to build a focused middle-markets equities team.

McDermott will be joining from Lazard Capital markets where he was a managing Director and head of middle-market equity sales. Previously, McDermott was a founding member of the middle-market sales team at Cowen and Company. He has both buy-side and sell-side experience from earlier roles at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.
