Sorry, but Balotelli's crude bet is vile

Former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has offered his girlfriend’s sexual services to the Real Madrid team if they beat Borussia Dortmund despite their 4-1 defeat in the first leg.

As if playing in a Champions League final wouldn’t be enough motivation for ‘Los Blancos’, Balotelli has offered his girlfriend up as an incentive.

"If Real Madrid come back against Borussia Dortmund and make it to the final of the Champions League, I will let my girlfriend sleep with all the players,” the AC Milan striker told the Spanish press.

Firstly, that’s disgusting, even in jest. Secondly, I have no idea what Mario Balotelli of AC Milan is doing even commenting on the Champions League semi-finalists in the first place.

As we know well enough by now, we can always rely on the Italian striker for controversy but this is just gross. I wonder how his girlfriend, Belgian model Fanny Neguesha, feels about his comment?

Imagine if Real Madrid actually do the impossible and overcome Borussia Dortmund to make it to final – is Balotelli prepared for the thousands of tweets he and the unsuspecting Neguesha will be receiving from all and sundry?

It’s not that unthinkable that Real Madrid can win 3-0 at the Bernabeu – in fact it’s a realistic outcome.

Regardless, to me, Balotelli’s comment is just vile and is more than reason enough for Neguesha to end the relationship. Any women can do better than that. That is completely disrespectful, even as a joke, and, frankly, shows how little he values his relationship with her.

Who does he think he is? She’s not a prostitute and she’s not his property to loan out to anyone, never mind 11 professional footballers. I really hope Real Madrid do make it to the final but, more than that, I really hope Fanny Neguesha comes to her senses with regard to her boyfriend who really revealed his immaturity.

Whoever emerges victorious at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night, one thing’s for sure – the biggest loser is Mario Balotelli.
