News and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates.

Bacary Sagna has once again found himself linked with Paris Saint-Germain. The French outfit are reportedly considering letting Gregory Van Der Wiel go after an uninspiring first season in the French capital and see Sagna as the perfect combatant for the right-back role with Christophe Jallet.

David Villa has missed his opportunity to sign for Arsenal according to The Mirror. The Spanish international is apparently desperate for a move away from the Nou Camp as he struggles to feature in the first team plans of Tito Vilanova. He is after regular first-team opportunities in order to ensure a place in the Spanish World Cup squad for 2014 but Wenger is now after Stevan Jovetic and Villa may have to look elsewhere.

Arsenal have confirmed their interest in the signature of Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia. Arsene Wenger has announced he is very aware of the 20-year-old's talents after several stirring performances in the heart of the La Liga clubs midfield since switching from RC Lens in the summer.

Reports in France have picked up on the future of Arsene Wenger. The Frenchman has been linked with the managerial post at Paris Saint-Germain but that has now been rubbished. They also ascertain that Arsenal will have £60 million made available by majority shareholder Stan Kroenke as a transfer budget.

Arsene Wenger has revealed that after the game with Manchester United on Sunday Robin Van Persie came into the Arsenal dressing room to eat with his former team-mates. When speaking about the game, in which RVP earned and then scored an equalising penalty, he stated:

‘He’s in our dressing room now because the food is better in ours.’

Reported Arsenal transfer target Julian Draxler has rejected any notion of signing for Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Mario Gotze this summer. The German youngster has been linked with his club Schalke 04’s fierce rivals in recent weeks but he promised the fans of the club that he would not make the controversial switch this summer.
