All of the important Liverpool news brought together for you in one place.

Liverpool have decided not to appeal against the ten match ban handed out to Luis Suarez. The striker was banned for ten games by the FA for biting an opponent and Liverpool have not taken up their right to appeal, probably out of fear that the ban could be extended further.

Striker Daniel Sturridge is set to lead the Liverpool attack in the Premier League clash at Newcastle United. Luis Suarez is obviously banned for the match and Sturridge goes in as the club’s main striker as Fabio Borini is unlikely to feature as he continues his recovery from injury.

Dede’s move away from Vasco de Gama was held up because of a legal issue. The talented Brazilian defender had been linked with a summer move to Liverpool, but chose to stay in Brazil but it’s since emerged that could have been because Vasco de Gama owed debts which prevented him from leaving the country.

Liverpool are being linked with a £5 million move for 26-year-old Sevilla defender Federico Fazio. Liverpool need to hunt out a replacement for Jamie Carragher, one of the club’s best defenders who is showing no signs that he’ll go back on his decision to retire at the end of the season.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp says the government are to blame for the severity of Luis Suarez’s ten match ban. Prime Minister David Cameron urged the FA to take a tough stance over the incident, which Redknapp suggests is the reason for the long ban.

Liverpool will face stiff competition from Newcastle United to sign Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy at the end of the season. Rodgers recently described McCarthy as one of the best goalkeepers he’s ever seen which has prompted suggestions of a possible summer deal.

Liverpool have warned their fans not to set off red smoke bombs in the match at Newcastle this weekend. Liverpool supporters have done just that at away games this season, with rumours circulating fans could smog the pitch with red smoke in protest against Luis Suarez’s ten match ban.

Cardiff City are trying an ambitious move to try and sign former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt. The Dutchman left Anfield to go and play for Fenerbahce in Turkey and newly crowned Championship champions are trying to pull off a move which would see him return to the Premier League.
