European Transfer Talk: Featuring Jovetic, Lewandowski and Draxler

Recent news has seen Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic linked with a practically signed, sealed and delivered transfer to Arsenal this summer. However it now appears that the Montenegro forward will have far more interested parties than first anticipated. The news from Italy is that Roma and Napoli are both prepared to make bids for the player; with Roma ready to offer Pablo Osvaldo as a makeweight in any deal.

Bayern Munich deny any knowledge of an agreed deal with Borussia Dortmund for Robert Lewandowski. After his match-winning performance against Real Madrid his profile has certainly gone up but his agent stated yesterday evening that the Pole had already agreed a deal with an ‘unnamed club’ which fuelled rumours of a move to Bayern. However this does not seem the case.

However they have been linked with bringing in two more promising German youngsters. Following on from the purchase of Mario Gotze it appears that Pep Guardiola is keen on purchasing Jan Kirchhoff from Mainz and Sebastian Rode of Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

Staying with Dortmund and the club are expected to join the race for Schalke 04 playmaker Julian Draxler; whom they see as a natural replacement for the Munich bound Gotze.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Jeremy Menez could return to former club AS Monaco this summer. The principality side are on their way back to Ligue 1 status under Claudio Ranieri and have plenty of money to spend according to reports. Menez could be their first buy of the summer.

Former West Ham player Alessandro Diamanti is now being pursued by both Juventus and Inter Milan. The 29-year-old Italian international has been in great form this season for current club Bologna but has a contract until 2017 - so will not come cheap.

Alvaro Negredo has emerged as the apparent number one target for Napoli in regards to replacing Edinson Cavani. The Sevilla striker could come in should rumours linking Cavani with a sealed move to PSG prove correct.

Martin Demichelis is keen to leave Malaga this summer; with a return to Argentina with River Plate in the pipeline. The defender is expected to leave as part of cost-cutting procedures at the financially unstable La Liga club.

21-year-old Swiss midfielder Stephen Zubar is expected to leave Grasshoppers in the summer. The talented player is valued at £3 million and Lyon, Inter Milan and Sevilla are interested in snapping him up after a superb season in Zurich.
