He has also called on his own fans to show their opponents the respect they deserve; including former captain Robin Van Persie after some fans called to turn their backs on the champions on Sunday.
Team news now ahead of that fixture and the main decision to be made by Wenger resolves around the striking position. With Olivier Giroud suspended it is expected wither Theo Walcott or Lukas Podolski will be given the nod in the central role for Arsenal. Wojciech Szczesny will continue in goal as Lukasz Fabianski is still struggling with a cracked rib.
Manchester United may rest Michael Carrick and Jonny Evans from the fixture as both have niggling injury issues; Nemanja Vidic is expected to return.
Wenger has been expressing his worry over what a Jose Mourinho managed Chelsea could do next season with a large amount of money at their disposal. He feels that the London rivals may just be on the verge of an expensive return to title challenging especially if they bring back the Portuguese for a second term.
The move for Stevan Jovetic is being reported in even more circles today as it was revealed by many that The Gunners have made an initial £25 million bid for the Montenegrin international. Fiorentina are also said to be mulling over proposals from Roma and Napoli but Wenger is determined to get his man by making an early approach for his services.

Carlos Vela is fearful of having to return to Arsenal this summer. The Mexican left last season after failing to establish himself under Wenger but has been one of La Liga’s leading strikers since arriving at Real Sociedad. He wishes to remain in Basque country and help them in a potential European campaign next season.
