James Perch has said that he is confident Newcastle will stay in the Premier League this season, and that the draw at West Brom, and the extra rest afforded by not being in the Europa League, should stand the Magpies in good stead for the match against Liverpool.
Massadio Haidara believes that Newcastle have been given a massive boost for the weekend’s match by the news that Luis Suarez will be banned for Liverpool. The Uruguayan striker is set to sit out the first of ten matches after biting Bransiav Ivanovic in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

The defender could move for around £1million, but there is likely to be work permit issues as he is not a regular for his country.
As well as competing on the pitch this weekend, Newcastle and Liverpool are apparently both interested in signing Basel defender Aleksander Dragovic. The 22 year has impressed in the Swiss side’s Europa League campaign this season, with West Ham, Arsenal and Sunderland also rumoured to be keeping tabs on his progress.
