Teenager Wellington Bueno, commonly known as Juninho, is being linked with a possible move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United have forged relationships all over the world, which has allowed them access to some of the best youngsters before any of their rivals even know about them.
One such player they seem to have a keen eye on is Wellington Bueno, a 17-year-old midfielder from Desportivo, who has been described as better than Kaka when he was the same age.
The reason this should intrigue and excite United fans is because the midfield is currently the weakest area of the first team, which makes potential investments such as this all the more interesting.
United have suffered in terms of their youth team this system with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur the leading lights in terms of promoting talent young players along the way to senior football.
The important thing to point out here is that United have first refusal over all players currently representing Desportivo, which means if Bueno progresses the way he’s expected to in Brazil, United will get the first chance to sign him.
What could make that slightly difficult is that this teenager has the same agent who represents other stars from the area such as Neymar and Lucas Moura, someone United have already tried to sign.
It’s been well publicised just how difficult it’s been for any of the clubs interested in Neymar, to actually get any idea over what the Brazilian star actually wants to do with his future.
The same could easily work out with Bueno, especially considering the fact that he may stay in Brazil to a point where he becomes a young man, as opposed to a teenager which makes any deal more difficult and expensive.
Sir Alex Ferguson is the best judge of the way to handle this possible deal because he’s made some superb investments in the past with Cristiano Ronaldo from Sporting Lisbon and more recently, with the addition of Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace.
United have been linked with Real Madrid’s Kaka before but what better way to stick it to their rivals, than to sign the player who is being described as a potentially better and more explosive player.
Check out the video below to see him score, frankly, a ridiculous goal against Sao Bento in an Under-17 match;
Worth an investment United fans or wait to see how he progresses?
