All of the latest Liverpool news from Anfield over the last 24 hours.
Goal.com has reported that Liverpool will be taking offers for Luis Suarez over the summer but not from English clubs. The football news site makes the claims only a day after managing director Ian Ayre said the striker would not be sold as a reaction to his bite on Branislav Ivanovic. Suarez has also accepted his FA charge of violent conduct, and a decision with regards to punishment and length of ban is expected to be made this week.
Liverpool will face Olympiacos in a pre-season friendly as a Steven Gerrard testimonial match. Gerrard scored possibly his most famous goal for the club in the Champions League against the Greek giants, with the Greek side also promising to donate their fee to charity.
The links surrounding a Liverpool bid for Lazio defender Modibo Diakite just won’t go away. Liverpool have been linked with him for months and stories are still appearing that a deal could be on despite his admission that he’d prefer to stay inside Italy.
The latest reports suggest Liverpool will try everything to sign Jackson Martinez from FC Porto this summer. Liverpool were reportedly ruled out of the bidding because of the fee but the latest stories are suggesting they will try to sign Martinez within their budget regardless.

Liverpool legend Ian Rush has given his backing to under fire striker Luis Suarez. Rush has backed Liverpool to retain Suarez despite obvious interest this summer, which would see him lead the attack of the side heading into the 2013/2014 Premier League season.
Striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed his disappointment at not starting against former club Chelsea last weekend. Sturridge came off the bench to play a vital role in securing Liverpool a 2-2 draw but he’s said he wanted to start from the off and make a point against his former employers.
Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson says the side feels unlucky after drawing against Chelsea last weekend. Liverpool equalised in the last minute of the game thanks to a deft little Luis Suarez header but Henderson says they did enough to win the fixture.
Former Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia says it’s his dream to go back and manage Liverpool. The former centre back is currently coach of Bayer Leverkusen who are well placed in the Bundesliga table behind champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
