Omni-directional treadmill shows off most realistic VR?

Oculus Rift headset and interactive treadmill combined for unique gaming experience.

Virtual reality may be one step closer to reality as tech company Virtuix has combined its omni-directional tredmill with Oculus Rift's gaming head set to create an interactive game of Team Fortress 2.

The treadmill allows gamers to move in any direction they choose and have that fed into their computer to act as a controller and, when combined with the virtual reality head-set from Oculus Rift, seemingly allows players to step into their games.

“The action feels like real running,” Virtuix CEO Jan Goetgeluk told RoadtoVR.

“The immersion is intense. I had a former Marine try HL2 yesterday, and he was slightly shaking.”
