The Premier League finale play-list - The soundtrack to season's conclusion

Gervinho, Podolski, Vermaelen, Mertesacker Celebrate

What is the music you are bound to hear at some point over the next month as teams celebrate and commiserate on their seasons?

Everybody knows that the season has finally ramped into fifth gear when those wonderful little montage snippets start appearing all over our TV screens with a perfectly fitting song to accompany said clip compilation.

This morning I reached over and shut off the alarm clock that was piercing my ears like an archer rolled back toward my bed and drew the curtains much to the shock of my bleary eyes.

As I do every morning the first port of call was to get abreast of anything that might have happened over night in the world so I tap ‘4-0-5’ into the remote and wait to see the welcoming face of either David Garrido, Mike Wedderburn, Alex Hammond or Rachel Wyse on screen but as usual I was instead greeted by the adverts.

So after putting up with commercials trying to flog me foot scrapers, car insurance and injury lawyers for me next came the ad for this weekend’s football action.

With Tottenham v Manchester City, Liverpool v Chelsea and Manchester United v Aston Villa all on it is certainly a big weekend with high pressure stakes involved; which probably explains the song choice of ‘The Zutons - Pressure Point’.

So what other songs can you expect to hear over the coming weeks as the Premier League reaches its conclusion?
