Gerard Deulofeu is a name which has been doing the rounds a fair degree this season with plenty of top European sides interested in poaching him from Barcelona and putting him on a big contract.
International friendlies seem to work a bit differently in Spain as they do in England, because Gerard Deulofeu bagged a superb goal in a recent encounter for the Spain Under-20 side against a Getafe eleven.
It seems that Spain’s international team setups will literally play anyone, as it means another chance for their youngsters to get stuck in and enhance their experience against determined club players.
Deulofeu’s goal in this game showcased everything which is positive about his game; pace, movement, skill and composure, as he took five Getafe players out of the game before narrowing his angle and firing in.
What an investment he could be.
What do you make of the goal? Should England’s younger teams be playing these friendlies?
