Arsenal have been linked with Takashi Inui. Who is he?

Introducing the latest name to be mooted as a target for Arsenal next season... Takashi Inui.

The Mail has reported that the Gunners have placed him on a list of potential targets for their summer spending plans, with the player being monitored by chief scout Steve Rowley.

The paper is not always known for it's accuracy on transfer links, but he is an interesting player who fans may be intrigued to learn more about.

Here are five facts about the player...

1) Takashi Inui plays for Bundesliga surprise package Eintracht Frankfurt, who are sixth in the division.

2) He is a left-winger and a full Japanese international with nine caps.

3) Inui is 24-years-old, and has six goals and six assists in 28 games this season.

4) He made his name at the same side as Manchester United's Shinji Kagawa back in Japan, Cerezo Osaka, before moving to German side Bochum. At Osaka he wowed fans by scoring four goals in a match twice in the space of a year in 5-0 and 4-1 victories.

5) Inui ranks in the Bundesliga's top 10 players in terms of shots per game, showing he is not shy at having a crack at goal.
